As a physics student, I often turned to the web for help, only to find hundreds of sites explaining the theory, but none on how to apply it. Tragically, my quest was perpetually unsuccessful. I eventually gave up in despair and resorted to the standard means of solving difficult physics problems employed by students all around the world - prayer. But the story doesn't end there. One day after yet another unsuccessful search on the web, a light bulb exploded over my head.
After I replaced the bulb in the overhead light fixture, an idea occurred to me. Why not build the website myself, not only for my use but also for thousands, maybe millions!, of other desperate students everywhere? So I embarked on a different quest - and here is the website.
I started this page with the intention of building a physics website that would help Physics students solve their homework problems. But then it occurred to me, why stop there? Mathematics and Chemistry students have similar difficulties with solving homework problems. So, I promptly bit off more than I could possibly chew and began building Spitfire Science in the middle of an 18 credit semester. What you see before you is the result. Not the end result, for it is far from finished. (I haven't taken fewer than 16 credits since beginning this project.) Let's call it a good attempt at a result. If a button or link doesn't work, its probably because I haven't built the page yet. But I intend to. However, it would be helpful if I knew which pages you want to see next. So e-mail me and let me know. Please be specific. (Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics are VERY broad categories.)
